विधानसभा चुनावों में सूरत के ऐतिहासिक प्रदर्शन करने के बाद अब मंत्रिमंडल में प्रतिनिधित्व को लेकर सियासी चर्चाएं तेज हो गई है। हालांकि कयास यह भी लगाए जा रहे है कि इस बार सूरत का प्रतिनिधित्व मंत्रिमंडल में कम होगा। क्योंकि इस बार पूरे प्रदेश में भाजपा ने अच्छा प्रदर्शन किया। सभी जातीय और क्षेत्रीय संतुलन को ध्यान में रखकर सरकार में मंत्री बनाए जाएंगे। भूपेंद्र पटेल की पिछली सरकार में सूरत से चार विधायकों को मंत्री बनाया गया था। सूरत भाजपा का मजबूत गढ़ माना जाता है। पहले भी इस शहर ने विपरीत परिस्थितियों के बावजूद भाजपा को सम्मानजनक स्थिति में लाया हैं। इस बार के विधानसभा चुनावों में भी सभी सीटों भाजपा उम्मीदवारों का मार्जिन अच्छा रहा है। शहरी क्षेत्र की 12 सीटों में से 7 ऐसी सीटें है,जिन पर भाजपा की जीत का मार्जिन 50 हजार से ज्यादा रहा। सूरत पश्चिम से पूर्णेश मोदी 104312 वोट से जीते तो मजूरा सीट से हर्ष संघवी 116675 वोट से जीते। चौर्यासी सीट से संदीप देसाई 186418 वोट से जीते है। इस बार सूरत से जिन विधायकों को मंत्रिमंडल में जगह मिलने के कयास लगाए जा रहे हैं। इनमें पूर्णेश मोदी और हर्ष संघवी का नाम सबसे ऊपर है। इसके अलावा लिंबायत की विधायक संगीता पाटिल का नाम भी चर्चा में है। हालांकि शहर से पांच विधायकों ने जीत की हैट्रिक मारी हैं। इसके अलावा तीन विधायक दो बार चुनाव जीत आए है। ये लोग भी मंत्री पद की दौड़ में न हो इस बात से इंकार नहीं किया जा सकता। लगातार दो, तीन या उससे अधिक टर्म से जीतने वाले विधायकों को प्राथमिकता दी जा सकती है। रुपाणी सरकार में कुमार कानाणी एक मात्र ही सूरत से मंत्री थे। बाद में उन्हें हटाकर सूरत में चार मंत्री बनाए गए। इनमें पूर्णेश मोदी, हर्ष संघवी, वीनू मोरडिया और मुकेश पटेल को शामिल किया गया था। इस चुनावों में कतारगाम सीट से वीनू मोरडिया ने आप के प्रदेश अध्यक्ष गोपाल इटालिया को हराया है। इसके अलावा लिंबायत सीट से संगीता पाटिल, वराछा सीट से कुमार कानाणी, ओलपाड सीट से मुकेश भी लगातार तीसरी बार विजय रहे है। यानी शहर के 6 विधायक ऐसे है जिन्हें जो नई सरकार के मंत्रिमंडल में शामिल होने के प्रबल दावेदार है। सूरत पश्चिम से विधायक पूर्णेश मोदी को पिछली सरकार में कैबिनेट मंत्री बनाया गया था। वे तीसरी बार चुनाव जीते है। वे पहली बार उप चुनाव में विजेता बने थे। इसके बाद 2017 में विधानसभा चुनाव जीते। 2022 में भी चुनाव जीतकर उन्होंने हैट्रिक लगाई। इस बार भी पूर्णेश मोदी की कैबिनेट मंत्री की दावेदारी मजबूत मानी जा रही है। मजूरा सीट से विधायक हर्ष संघवी को पिछली सरकार में गृह राज्यमंत्री का पद दिया गया था। इस चुनाव में कम प्रचार और कम मतदान के बावजूद हर्ष 1.16 लाख वोटों से जीत हासिल की है। हर्ष की भी यह लगातार तीसरी जीत है। लिंबायत सीट से तीसरी बार विधायक चुनी गई संगीता पाटिल भाजपा के प्रदेशाध्यक्ष सीआर पाटिल के गढ़ से चुनकर आती है। इस चुनावों में कुछ क्षेत्र में संगीता विरोध हुआ था, लेकिन वह जीत गई। पूरे जिले में भाजपा सबसे मजबूत यहीं थी। वराछा सीट से किशोर कानाणी ने भी तीसरी बार जीत हासिल की है। 2017 में पाटीदार अनामत आंदोलन के बीच भी कानणी विजेता बने थे। इसके बार आप की टक्कर के बाद भी कनाणी अच्छे मार्जिन से जीते। ओलपाड सीट से विधायक मुकेश पटेल भी तीसरी बार चुनकर विधानसभा पहुंचे है। आप और कांग्रेस की टक्कर होने के बाद भी वे अच्छे मार्जिन से जीते।
