फिल्मों और टीवी सीरियल्स के जाने-माने अभिनेता मंगल ढिल्लों का निधन हो गया है। वह लंबे समय से कैंसर जैसी गंभीर बीमारी से जूझ रहे थे। उनका लुधियाना के एक अस्पताल में चल रहा था। बताया जा रहा है कि बीते कुछ समय से उनकी हालत गंभीर बनी हुई थी। इलाज के दौरान रविवार को उन्होंने दुनिया को अलविदा कह दिया। अभिनेता यशपाल शर्मा ने सोशल मीडिया पर उनकी मृत्यु की खबर की पुष्टि की है। उनका अंतिम संस्कार आज (11 जून) पंजाब के उनके गांव नीलों कलां में शाम चार बजे किया जाएगा। मंगल पंजाबी फिल्म इंडस्ट्री का मशहूर नाम थे। इसके अलावा उन्होंने बॉलीवुड की कई फिल्मों और टीवी धारावाहिकों में भी अपनी अदाकारी से लोगों के दिल जीते थे। साल 1988 में आई फिल्म खून भरी मांग में वह कैमियो रोल में दिखे थे। इसके बाद वह लगातार मनोरंजन की दुनिया में सक्रिय रहे। एक्टिंग के अलावा उन्होंने कई फिल्मों का निर्माण और निर्देशन भी किया था। अभिनेता का जन्म फरीदकोट के पंजाबी परिवार में हुआ था। शुरुआती शिक्षा उन्होंने यहीं से हासिल की। इसके बाद वह परिवार के साथ उत्तर प्रदेश चले गए। हालांकि, इसके बाद वह पंजाब लौट आए और फिर वहीं से स्नातक किया। पढ़ाई पूरी करने के बाद उन्होंने थिएटर जॉइन किया। साल 1986 में उनके हाथ पहला टीवी सीरियल कथा सागर लगा। मशहूर टीवी शो बुनियाद ने उन्हें घर-घर तक पहचान दिलाई।
अपने करियर में उन्होंने किस्मत, द ग्रेट मराठा, मुजरिम हाजिर, रिश्ता मौलाना आजाद, नूरजहां जैसे धारावाहिकों में काम किया। बाद में, उन्हें फिल्मों के लिए रोल भी मिलने लगे। खून भरी मांग के बाद वह जख्मी औरत, दयावान, आजाद देश के गुलाम, प्यार का देवता, अकेला, दिल तेरा आशिक, दलाल, विश्वात्मा, निशाना जैसी फिल्मों में दिखे। अपने फिल्मी सफर में उन्होंने ज्यादातर नकारात्मक भूमिका ही निभाई। बड़े पर्दे पर उन्हें आखिरी बार फिल्म तूफान सिंह में देखा गया था। यह फिल्म साल 2017 में रिलीज हुई थी। वरिष्ठ पत्रकार इंदर मोहन पन्नू ने मंगल ढिल्लों को याद कर उन्हें श्रद्धांजलि दी है। उन्होंने कहा, ”मैं उन्हें अच्छी तरह से जानता था और चूंकि हम सेम कास्ट के थे इस वजह से हमारे बीच जल्दी ही बॉन्डिंग बन गई थी। वह गहरी आवाज के साथ वास्तव में अच्छे अभिनेता थे। मुझे याद है अकेला की शूटिंग के कोर्ट सीन में उन्होंने अपनी लाइनें इतनी बेहतरीन तरीके से सुनाई थीं कि एक ही टेक में अमिताभ ने भी जोर से ताली बजाई और उनकी प्रतिभा की तारीफ की। मैं यारी रोड स्थित उनके आवास पर जाता था और उनके मेहमाननवाजी का आनंद लेता था। उनकी पत्नी प्रख्यात चित्रकार हैं इसलिए उनके ड्राइंग रूम को चित्रों से अच्छी तरह सजाया गया था। हां, मंगल ने भूतों पर एक सीरियल बनाया था और मुझे इसे देखने का मौका मिला था। मानो या मानो, मंगल ने कुछ साथियों की मदद से भूतों के साक्षात्कार रिकॉर्ड किए थे और उन्होंने इस धारावाहिक को कुछ चैनलों को बेचने की कोशिश की, लेकिन किसी न किसी कारण से ऐसा नहीं हो सका। एक बार पत्रकार पम्मी सोमल ने भी इस धारावाहिक को देखा था और वह इतनी डरी हुई थीं कि अपनी कार को घर वापस लाने के लिए पूरे रास्ते “बाजू हट जाओ … बाजू हट जाओ …” यह सोचकर चिल्लाती रहीं कि रात में सड़क के किनारे भूत जरूर बैठे होंगे। यह उनके सीरियल का असर था।”
