कांग्रेस महासचिव प्रियंका गांधी वाड्रा ने ‘‘मोदी उपनाम’’ वाली टिप्पणी से जुड़े आपराधिक मानहानि मामले में राहुल गांधी की याचिका गुजरात उच्च न्यायालय द्वारा खारिज किए जाने के बाद शुक्रवार को आरोप लगाया कि अहंकारी सत्ता सच को दबाने के लिए हर हथकंडे आजमा रही है। उन्होंने कहा कि राहुल गांधी एक “अहंकारी शासन” के खिलाफ सच्चाई और लोगों के हितों की लड़ाई लड़ रहे हैं, लेकिन केंद्र सरकार उनके द्वारा उठाए गए सवालों को दबाने के लिए सभी हथकंडे अपना रही है। राहुल गांधी की याचिका को खारिज करते हुए न्यायमूर्ति हेमंत प्रच्छक ने कहा कि गांधी पहले से ही पूरे भारत में 10 आपराधिक मामलों का सामना कर रहे हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि गांधी को उनकी “मोदी उपनाम” टिप्पणी के लिए दो साल की जेल की सजा देने का निचली अदालत का आदेश “उचित और कानूनी” था। प्रियंका गांधी ने ट्विटर पोस्ट में रामधारी सिंह ‘दिनकर’ की कविता का एक अंश उद्धृत करते हुए मोदी सरकार पर तीखा हमला बोला, ‘‘समर शेष है, जनगंगा को खुल कर लहराने दो, शिखरों को डूबने और मुकुटों को बह जाने दो, पथरीली ऊंची जमीन है तो उसको तोड़ेंगे, समतल पीटे बिना समर की भूमि नहीं छोड़ेंगे, समर शेष है, चलो ज्योतियों के बरसाते तीर, खंड-खंड हो गिरे विषमता की काली जंजीर।’’ प्रियंका गांधी ने कहा, ‘राहुल गांधी जी इस अहंकारी सत्ता के सामने सच्चाई और जनता के हितों की लड़ाई लड़ रहे हैं। अहंकारी सत्ता चाहती है कि जनता के हितों के जुड़े सवाल न पूछे जाएं, अहंकारी सत्ता चाहती है कि देश के लोगों की जिंदगियों को बेहतर बनाने वाले सवाल न उठाए जाएं, अहंकारी सत्ता चाहती है कि उनसे महंगाई पर सवाल न पूछे जाएं, युवाओं के रोजगार पर कोई बात न हो, किसानों की भलाई की आवाज न उठे, महिलाओं के हक की बात न हो, श्रमिकों के सम्मान के सवाल को न उठाया जाए।’’ उन्होंने आरोप लगाया, अहंकारी सत्ता सच को दबाने के लिए हर हथकंडे आजमा रही है, जनता के हितों से जुड़े सवालों से ध्यान भटकाने के लिए साम, दाम, दंड, भेद, छल, कपट सब अपना रही है। लेकिन, सत्य, सत्याग्रह और जनता की ताकत के सामने न तो सत्ता का अहंकार ज्यादा दिन टिकेगा और न ही सच्चाई पर झूठ का परदा। उन्होंने कहा, राहुल गांधी जी ने इस अहंकारी सत्ता के सामने जनता के हितों से जुड़े सवालों की ज्योति जलाकर रखी है। प्रियंका गांधी ने कहा, इसके लिए राहुल गांधी हर कीमत चुकाने को तैयार हैं और तमाम हमलों व अहंकारी भाजपा सरकार के हथकंडों के बावजूद एक सच्चे देशप्रेमी की तरह जनता से जुड़े सवालों को उठाने से पीछे नहीं हटे हैं। जनता का दर्द बांटने के कर्तव्य पथ पर डटे हुए हैं। सत्य की जीत होगी। जनता की आवाज जीतेगी। कांग्रेस ने कहा है कि वह गुजरात उच्च न्यायालय के उस आदेश को चुनौती देते हुए उच्चतम न्यायालय में अपील कर सकती है, जिसमें राहुल गांधी की “मोदी उपनाम” टिप्पणी पर आपराधिक मानहानि मामले में उनकी सजा पर रोक लगाने की मांग वाली याचिका खारिज कर दी गई। गुजरात उच्च न्यायालय ने मोदी उपनाम वाली टिप्पणी को लेकर आपराधिक मानहानि मामले में कांग्रेस नेता राहुल गांधी की दोषसिद्धि पर रोक लगाने का अनुरोध खारिज कर दिया। गौरतलब है कि गुजरात में भारतीय जनता पार्टी (भाजपा) के विधायक पूर्णेश मोदी द्वारा दायर 2019 के मामले में सूरत की मेट्रोपोलिटन मजिस्ट्रेट अदालत ने 23 मार्च को राहुल गांधी को भारतीय दंड संहिता (आईपीसी) की धाराओं 499 और 500 (आपराधिक मानहानि) के तहत दोषी ठहराते हुए दो साल जेल की सजा सुनाई थी। फैसले के बाद राहुल गांधी को जनप्रतिनिधित्व अधिनियम के प्रावधानों के तहत संसद की सदस्यता से अयोग्य घोषित कर दिया गया था। राहुल गांधी 2019 में केरल के वायनाड से लोकसभा के लिए निर्वाचित हुए थे।
